the challenge over the years has been how do we focus on what we do best, which is not management or finance, which we have no experience in, but hosting and building out a network that reflects our vision for what we're trying to do here without getting bogged down in the parts that we're not good at. And that's hard, right? And so as you get bigger, we just rely on having really great people take that on. And it's hard to find really great people, but we've been lucky. And you just learn as you get bigger what you need to step out of so that you don't get sucked into meetings and decisions that you really don't bring anything to other than the fact that you were here first. So that's always hard.

How it works
From full episode to a clip that stands on its own
Clippex transcribes your recording and ranks scenes for review. Choose the moments you want to create, set captions and framing, then download the finished clips. Start with clear speech and a focused conversation for the most useful shortlist.
Start with the answer, keep the context
An interesting answer can get lost behind a long introduction. Look for clips that start with a clear point and include enough of the conversation to make sense to someone who has never heard your show. Review the selected moments before sharing.
Make the conversation readable
Many viewers meet a podcast with the sound off. Caption presets make the spoken words easier to follow. Choose the look and placement that fit your show, and check important names and specialist terms in your final output.
Frame the speaker for small screens
Your podcast may be recorded in landscape, but the discovery happens in a vertical feed. Choose 9:16 output for Shorts, Reels and TikTok. Set framing so the person speaking stays visible without crowding captions into the platform controls.
Before you make your first clips
Does this work with a video podcast?
Yes. Upload your video recording or import a supported public source link. Clear speech helps transcription and scene selection.
Can I use clips to promote my full episode?
Yes. Download your short clips and publish them on your channels. Add your episode link and context when you publish; Clippex does not guarantee views or listener growth.
Can I try a full episode for $1?
The one-time $1 trial includes 60 credits without a watermark. Whether an episode fits depends on its transcribed length and scene selection. Check the current allowance on the pricing page before starting a long recording.
