AI clipping questions
How the Clippex
AI clipper works.
Straight answers on long video to short clips, transcription credits, scene multipliers, auto captions, TikTok and YouTube Shorts formats, and Toronto support at support@clippex.tech.
01What is Clippex?
Clippex is an AI clipping tool and video repurposing platform. It turns long-form video such as YouTube videos, podcasts, webinars, courses and interviews into ranked short clips with auto captions, customizable framing and vertical, square or landscape renders.
02How do Clippex credits work?
Credits = source duration rounded up to each 60-second unit × scene selection (Best ×1, Many ×2, All ×3) × clipping model (Basic ×1, Clipper Pro ×2). The Pro subscription and Clipper Pro model are separate choices.
03Is billing based on finished clip length?
No. Credits follow measured source duration rounded up to whole minutes, multiplied by scene selection and the Basic or Clipper Pro model. Clippex does not price plans as one credit per finished output minute.
04Which formats can the AI clipper create?
Clippex renders vertical 9:16 TikTok clips, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, square 1:1 feed clips, and landscape 16:9 cuts. Framing, caption style and brand placement are set before render.
05Can I control captions and framing?
Yes. The output workflow includes caption presets, line breaks, on-brand placement, and adjustable framing so the speaker or subject stays in frame across aspect ratios.
06Who is Clippex for?
Creators, podcast teams, social editors, agencies and studio operators who need an AI clipper to turn one long video into many short-form clips without rebuilding each cut by hand.
07Do failed jobs use credits?
Failed or canceled work should not keep a reservation. If a job does not complete, reserved credits are released. Contact support if a balance looks wrong.
08Which plans does Clippex offer?
Clippex publishes Trial ($1 for 60 credits), Starter, Pro, Supreme and Enterprise. Credit allowances and prices load from the live billing catalog on the pricing page so they stay current.
09Can a team share projects?
Yes. Workspaces support owners, editors and viewers so production access stays separate from review access.
10Does trial output include a watermark?
No. The $1 trial includes 60 credits and exports without a watermark. Trial is a one-time purchase per account with no automatic renewal. Then choose Starter, Pro or Supreme.
11Where is Clippex based?
Clippex operates from Toronto, Canada. Support is support@clippex.tech. Mail: 2967 Dundas St. W. #1859, Toronto, ON M6P 1Z2.
12How do I start AI clipping?
Create an account, buy the $1 trial or a subscription, add a long-form source, choose caption and framing settings, pick best, many or all scenes, and start production. The trial includes 60 credits without a watermark.
